The 48 Hour Film Project is coming to San Francisco!
In a wild, sleepless weekend, you and a team will make a movie--write, shoot, edit and score it. From scratch. In 48 hours. On Friday, June 15th, you'll get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. By Sunday, June
17th, the movie must be complete. It will show at San Francisco's Landmark Embarcadero Center Cinema the following week.

There are *three* ways to be involved:
1. FORM A TEAM. If you can rustle up enough folks to make a movie, great! The project is open to pros and amateurs alike. Just put together a team and register on-line at www.48hourfilm.com/sanfrancisco and then meet us on Friday, June 15th ready to go. There are only a limited number of slots, so apply soon...
2. JOIN A TEAM. If you're interested in participating, but not by leading a team, you can still definitely be involved! There will be happy hours where folks can meet team leaders and join their teams, as well as other means to get in touch via our web site. ...get your ear to the ground, by signing up for the San Francisco 48HFP discussion group at: movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/...ncisco/ , an email forum for all short-film matters, networking, questions, services, etc.
3. ENJOY THE FILMS. Come on by to the see the movies, and cast your ballot for the Audience Award. You'll be amazed at what your friends and Bay-Area neighbors can do! About a dozen brand-new short films will debut each night, screening at SF's
Landmark Embarcadero Center Cinema.
Our judges will select the Top 10 teams from the San Francisco 48HFP and invite them to compete against the Top 10 teams from the New York and Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Projects in the Visa "Life Takes" Invitational.
This special competition will take place in September. The top 10 teams in each city will receive:
• $500 Visa Prepaid Card for production expenses.
• Invitation to the Awards Ceremony in San Francisco hosted by Visa for all Finalists from the 3 cities and their guests.
And, get this...the Grand Prize winner will receive...
$10,000!

Fri, June 8, 2007 - 11:52 PMAnyone still looking to form a team, or in a team recruiting talent/crew? I do videography, lighting, and editing (FCP) . I am actually looking both participate and concurrently shoot a short documentary profiling a team participating in the 48 Hour Film or other Film race/cinemasports style event. If anyone knows of a team willing to be profiled for a short potentially to air on Current TV (www.current.tv) please PM by next week. I will post to the 48hourfilm site as well.
I may not be available later Saturday evening, though I may be able to work on some of the editing at my office that night. I have a FCP - laptop system, and can show examples of work recently produced, shot and edited.
